  • Note: 11/10/14 Conversation with Al
Sidney & Jean lived with Myrt,Big Al and little Al & Diane in New Castle, NH. Before Myrt died Jean used to sendthem annual Christmas cards.

Tim & Al shared a bed due tothe times. Tim was the youngest. Althinks he was about 3 years younger than Al and the Michael was about 3 yearsolder than Al. He remembers Michaelstuck up for him when he was beat up by a mean kid in school. However, his mother was Al's teacher so shenever liked him the rest of the year.

Sidney was tall and looked likeBev and Joseph (Pa).

Kate (Ma) & Joseph (Pa) weretough on all of the kids but Myrt, the baby. Likewise Al could do no wrong as he was the same age as Richard(Francis's son) who died young in a diving accident. He sort of much took over Richard's place.

Kate & Joseph were part of the poor working class. They met in New Castle when Joseph was inthe Army. He became disabled due tolung issues but he is not sure when. Kate used to clean rich people's houses and she had to walk towork. They never had a car. Fish &potatoes was a common meal. They rentedthe house on the water on Cranfield Street.

    My notes:
I was close to Myrt, Evelyn & Francis and knew Bev whocame around less often. Francis was anurse and lost her son Richard at a young age due to a diving accident but shedid have a daughter Becky. Ann, mygrandmother left her husband, my mother and her sister, my Aunt Brenda, movedto Boston and married another man. They divorced and later my grandparents Ann& Homer remarried after Brenda was finished with High School. For a good portion of my Aunt's years athome she was raised by her sister (my mother) and her father Homer.

My father was in the Air Force and we were away a lot butfinally returned my for 5th & 6hth grade and 9-11 grade. Because we wereaway a lot and because of the age differences, I never got to know the childrenof Sidney's siblings. I got to knowMyrt's 2 kids Al & Diane when I got older and mostly got to know"Little" Al when he got together with the family for my mother'sfuneral in 2013.
