- Burial: He was buried in 1823 Brown-Wallace in New Rye, NH New Chester's name changed to Hill in 1837. County boundary may have changed from Grafton to Merrimack also. Town of Hill was relocated in 1941 for a dam construction.

Born April 1762; Wife Sarah born abt.1766 (53 in 1819); son Edward 25, daughter Elenor 29 and daughter Abigale (spelling?) 22. Living in Grafton. This is John's brother.
(Research):The Pension Abstract (on file) indicated that Mary Straw was married August 17, 1780 which is before the birth of all of the children. Samuel's birth certificate lists Molly as the mother so Mary's nickname was Molly.

Grafton County,NH pensioners inscribed on the pension list under the Act of Congress passed on the 18th of March, 1818 Straw, Moses Private 1819 80 Dropped 1820 - Restored 1824 Per NH VR Moses' sons Samuel and John and daughter Dorothy were born in South Hampton and Mary, Elizabeth and Moses were all born in Hopkinton, NH Per Lord's History of Hopkinton he was a signer of the Association Test for Hopkinton (1776). In his father's Will of 1756 he is listed but not well rewarded. Per genealogy of Ellen Straw Thompson of Oct 1897: Moses was "dismissed to Hopkinton in 1760" She also shows his three oldest children ( Samuel, Dorothy and John as being born in South Hampton and Mary, Elizabeth and Moses born in Sandown, NH. Not sure where she got her information from but VR of NH does not concur. Ellen Straw Thompson also named a second wife for Moses of Hannah (last name unk) with a marriage date of 1777. NEHGS VR of Kingston, NH - Second Church of Christ 27 July 1771 Moses Straw m. Hannah French census of Hopkinton, NH 1790 shows him there and 62 years of age. Also in the HH are 2 males below 16 yrs of age (Moses Jr and Benjamin) and 4 females (wife Hannah and daus: Dorothy, Mary and Elizabeth.) His wife Hannah died in April of 1800.
