Evelyn ruth Beckham - her last name was Beckham. She was the dau. of Harold Hward Beckham and Caroline Elizabeth Maria Truesdale
You are definitely one of the clan-saw your photo--I always thought that Carrie, the child of Caroline and Harold was my aunt until I was about 9-10. We went to town-Rock Hill-and Carrie stopped to talk to a woman I did not know.I was getting tired of standing there and then Carrie told me that she was talking to her sister,Evelyn Ruth. You know kids-say, not think, so I said "She's not my aunt". Carrie then told me that she wasn't either. Caroline Elizabeth Maria died when Carrie was born prematurally. Granny and Uncle Butler were there but her husband wasn't. Uncle Butler handed Carrie to Grannie and said "Azile, if you can keep her alive , you can have her."Although she was really just a cousin, she acted as an aunt all of her life. When she was dating Wood, they had to take me for a ride before they went somewhere. She always purchased school dresses for me until several years after Robert was born. When she got the nerve to tell me that she was going to have a baby, I told her that it was ok if she had a boy on my birthday-she did. My son was born on her birthday. A cousin has recently sent me some pictures that I had never seen. They are attached. I am not able to put the $$ out for ancestry. Anita has me as an editor on her tree becaue I had so much info that she didn't.. I can only go as far as Evelyn Ruth and Henry Fagan from my database-the Truesdales I have.I need to add your families . Judy.
